Midnight Lens — by KSD Labs

One tap. One purpose. Temporary access.

Midnight Lens is the human-facing privacy, identity, consent, selective-disclosure and proof layer. It keeps a distinct product identity inside the connected KSD experience and retains its dedicated domain: midnight-lens.com.

Quick Session

Temporary access should feel temporary.

Choose the narrow action, choose Guest or a KSD @name when identity matters, and start a purpose-bound session. The session ends when the work is done or its authority expires.

1. Choose the actionTake Photos, Review, Sign or another bounded purpose.
2. Guest or @nameUse only the identity context the session actually needs.
3. Start the sessionScope, expiry and permissions stay tied to that purpose.
Capability map

Privacy tools that connect without collapsing boundaries.

Public status remains conservative. “In build” describes direction and implementation work; it is not a runtime verification claim.

In development

Lens Sign

Capture the required human decision, signature and supporting proof without letting AI substitute for consent.

In development

Lens Scan

A shared Lens/Wallet QR primitive for detecting and reading a code. Detection alone never authorizes execution.

In build / unproven

Camera Session

Purpose-bound camera access designed around explicit scope, temporary authority and protected handoff.

In build / unproven

Value Vault

A protected value and authority concept that remains unproven until its specific runtime and security gates close.

In development

Medical Lens

Privacy and consent authority for medical information when surfaced through Manager or community experiences.

In development

Selective disclosure

Prove the needed fact without automatically exposing the whole underlying document or record.

Storage boundary

Your content is not assumed to live with KSD.

The default storage model is ON-DEVICE / USER CLOUD. KSD does not imply central hosting merely because a person uses Lens.

KSD-managed storage would be separate.

Any future KSD-managed storage is a distinct, explicit service with its own consent, limits, retention rules and commercial terms. Visual continuity does not merge storage or access authority.

Lens + Workspace

Privacy authority stays visible inside the work environment.

Workspace can surface Lens actions when identity, consent, signing or selective disclosure is required. Lens keeps those privacy and consent boundaries; Workspace does not silently inherit or broaden them.

Connected does not mean collapsed.

Workspace provides the governed place to work. Midnight Lens remains the privacy, identity and consent layer. Dispatch remains the execution authority, and Orbit remains independently responsible for verification.

Lens Sign & disclosure

Share the decision or fact. Not everything around it.

Where the use case allows it, Lens is designed to preserve consent and disclose the minimum necessary information.

Sign

Capture the human decision and bind it to the correct document version and acknowledgements.

Prove a threshold

Show that a requirement is met without exposing unrelated personal data.

Temporary access

Allow a bounded action without granting permanent access to the surrounding account or data.

Midnight Lens is not legal advice. Official or regulated forms and legal matters must use the current applicable requirements.
